Once I realized how much control I had over my health, I wanted to learn as much as I could. Now, my mission is to empower people with knowledge, tools, and strategies to make the right choices for themselves to be the healthiest version of themselves.
Overall health includes physical, mental, and spiritual nutrition
Everyone is unique and requires strategies and tools that work for their unique needs.
Keep it simple: enjoying mostly whole foods, and less nutritious foods in moderation.
Sharing health and wellness with your family will help all generations
You know this story all too well. My whole life I have thought my body size was wrong. I needed to be smaller, more petite. Even though I was an athlete and in shape, people would always negatively reference my weight. I would ride the diet roller coaster, trying all kinds of things from cutting out entire food groups, restricting calories to silly low numbers, to joining groups that promised me the world, and it would work, until it didn't.
I kept searching and searching. Then I committed to my health in a different way. I researched various forms of movement and engulfed in research regarding nutrition. What I realized was, one size does not fit all. I started to really listen to my body.
I hear people talking about their poor sleep, their uncontrollable stress, constant anxiety, low levels of energy, inconsistent periods, and poor digestion (just to name a few). After continuously hearing about these ailments plaguing so many people, I realized there is more to health and happiness than a number on a scale.
Over time I created an environment where I stacked conditions in my favor to have all of those things: good sleep habits, strategies for stress management, lowered anxiety, consistent/steady levels of energy, regular periods with minimal symptoms, good digestion, and the list goes on and on. What made me different? My habits. My habits around nutrition and exercise. In the end, I realized my body is exactly the size it should be. Happy and healthy.
