This original recipe is from Chocolate Covered Katie.
1 can, drained and rinsed chickpeas
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp baking soda
3 tbsp almond flour (as needed to thicken)
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup peanut butter {or any nut butter}
1/4 cup honey
1/3 cup chocolate chips
Milk of choice to add to create desired texture
Add all ingredients except chocolate chips and milk to a food processor {I didn't have luck mixing this with a blender}.
Add milk for desired consistency.
Remove dip from food processer.
Add chocolate chips and stir.
Serve with apple slices, strawberries and/or Simple Mills honey crackers.
My oldest, EJ, eats this with just a spoon. It is a delicious and always a hit in our house.
This is a great way to introduce chickpeas {or garbanzo beans} into your child's diet. They are a good source of fiber.
